    MARITIME PATROL & RECONNAISSANCE AIRPLANE
    (with Submarine Detection Capability)

    The latest modification of the M28 airplane, featuring a retractable landing gear, designed for oversea patrol & reconnaissance missions, including submarine detection.
    The airplane equipment installed onboard, including a Thermal Imaging System ( FLIR), a 360° Search & Surveillance Radar, Direction Finder, and communication systems, provides for the following mission capability:
    - Sea- & land border patrolling
    - Search & rescue operations
    - Tracking groups illegally crossing the border
    - Surveillance & protection of the national economic sea zone
    - Detection & localization of submarines
    When submerged, submarines are detected by the following means:
    - Ejection of single-use hydro-acoustic sonobuoys from a dispenser installed inside the fuselage;
    - Magnetic anomaly detector (magnetometer), with the nose-cone mounted sensors
